ABOUT THE PIECE

My goal in writing this piece was to make it sound very fluid, never really settling into a straight pattern, but still with recurring elements. The 5/4 meter, changing the way the cello and piano align throughout the piece, prevents the listener from being able to expect exactly when things will happen.
